DALLAS – The Dallas Mavericks announced today that they have been awarded forward Aric Holman on a waiver claim. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Holman (6-10, 225) went undrafted in 2019 after a four-year college career at Mississippi State. In 124 career games (78 starts) for the Bulldogs, he averaged 8.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game while shooting 50.9 percent (384-of-754) from the field and 38.2 percent (96-of-251) from beyond the arc.

As a senior in 2018-19, Holman posted averages of 9.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.6 blocks and 24.4 minutes in 34 games (20 starts). The 6-10 forward also went 45-of-105 (.429) from deep in 2018-19.

A native of Owensboro, Ky., Holman signed with the Los Angeles Lakers this past summer and competed for their California and Las Vegas summer league teams. In three games in Sacramento, he averaged 3.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks. In three games in Las Vegas, he averaged 4.5 points, 3.8 boards and 1.0 block.
