Partnership to bring World of Dance teams and performers to 30 home games and launch community initiatives during 2019-2020 season

DALLAS (Oct. 22, 2019)- The Dallas Mavericks are innovating the entertainment experience for the 2019-2020 season. Through an exclusive partnership with World of Dance (WOD), the world’s largest dance entertainment community, the world’s best dancers – from hip-hop, Latin, contemporary and more – will be showcased at the American Airlines Center for 30 select home games, as well as participate in local Mavs community initiatives.

The preeminent global dance organization World of Dance has amassed impressive brand extensions, including a No. 1 YouTube Network, a hit NBC primetime television show and 58 events across 43 international markets.

“I am a huge fan of World of Dance. Their choreographies and productions are world renowned and far beyond anything ever presented at a professional sporting event,” said team proprietor Mark Cuban. “I’m grateful to David Gonzalez for our partnership and can’t wait for Mavs fans to become a part of the World of Dance experience.”

“World of Dance is absolutely thrilled to partner with Mark Cuban and the Dallas Mavs. Mark is known for his edgy, visionary leadership, and, as a result, the Dallas Mavericks have led the charge as innovators in in-game entertainment,” said David Gonzalez, founder and president of World of Dance. “We’re honored and excited to get on board for this new journey with the Mavericks!”

The partnership will stretch far beyond the arena.

The Mavs and WOD will lead off the 2019-2020 community initiatives at the Texas Women’s Foundation 34th Annual Luncheon on November 14th. Dancers will kick off the luncheon, an event that raises money for women, girls and families in Texas. Additional community outreach throughout the season will include dance workshops, World of Dance U-Jam fitness sessions and other events with WOD performers.

Confirmed performers for the 2019-2020 season include Super Cr3w and Chapkis on October 23rd, Texas Raas on October 27th, BDash and Konkrete on November 1st, Brotherhood on November 6th and 8th, Elektro Botz on November 20th and 22nd and The Kings and Soreal on November 26th during the Dallas Mavericks City Edition Launch.
