DALLAS – On December 16th, at 2:00 p.m. CST the Dallas Mavericks will host the third HUDDLE conversation with community leaders in the DFW area. Minnie’s Food Pantry Founder, Dr. Cheryl “Action” Jackson, CitySquare President and COO, Dr. John Siburt and City of Dallas Interim Director of Office of Homeless Solutions, Kevin Oden will join HUDDLE Board Members Michael Finley and Nick Van Exel, along with Mavs CEO Cynt Marshall as she moderates a conversation around homelessness and hunger, and the importance of giving to these causes this holiday season. The HUDDLE is a virtual event and open to the public to attend upon registering.

The panelists will take part in conversations with participants watching, listening and engaging remotely on the topic of “Huddling Around Homelessness & Hunger.” The discussion will focus on the increased need for shelter and food security in the DFW community. With the holidays approaching, the panelists will gather and reflect on the needs of those that are facing hardships during this time, give insight on how to give back and discuss what the Mavericks are doing to contribute during this season of giving. Viewers will be able to engage virtually and submit questions for the panelists during the HUDDLE.

The HUDDLE is a monthly courageous conversation series as a part of the Mavs Take ACTION! Plan that launched in June to address racial inequities and promote social justice in the DFW community. It is a gathering that creates a safe space for dialogue and the opportunity for individuals to learn and unite with a diverse group of current and former Dallas Mavericks players, team representatives and community figures with the goal of eliminating racial divides, uplifting communities and empowering future generations.
