Terry (6-2, 175) was selected 31 st overall by Dallas after spending one season at Stanford. He started all 31 games in which appeared for the Cardinal, averaging 14.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.4 steals while shooting 44.1% (147-333 FG) from the field, 40.8% (61-152 3FG) from beyond the arc and 89.1% (98-110 FT) from the foul line.
The Minneapolis native garnered Pac-12 All-Freshman Team honors last season and his 14.6 ppg marked the second-highest scoring average by a Stanford freshman in school history.
