Boban Marjanović (BO-bahn Mar-YAWN-oh-vich) just completed his fifth NBA season and his first with Dallas in 2019-20. He holds career averages of 6.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 9.8 minutes per game in 221 career games (19 starts) with San Antonio, Detroit, the L.A. Clippers, Philadelphia and Dallas.
The 7-4 center, who signed with Dallas as a free agent on July 23, 2019, is the second-tallest active NBA player behind Boston’s Tacko Fall (7-5).
A native of Boljevac, Serbia, Marjanović began his professional basketball career at the age of 14 with the Serbian team Hemofarm. In addition to playing professionally in Serbia, Marjanović also played in Russia and Lithuania before making his NBA debut with San Antonio in 2015-16. He represents the Serbian national team in international competition.
“Bobi” or “The Bobinator,” has a wide array of off-court interests, particularly in comedy/entertainment. He recently appeared in the action thriller John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, which was released in May 2019.
