Mavs 2013 Summer Hoop Camp presented by Academy Sports & Outdoors began on June 10 at the Downtown Dallas YMCA. On their second day, campers received a special visit from Mavs forward, Dirk Nowitzki.
During his time at the camp, Nowitzki participated in a Q&A with the kids where he spoke about what he has learned through the game of basketball, his experiences as a professional athlete and winning the 2011 NBA Championship.
He concluded his visit by competing against campers and coaches in several games of knockout and signing autographs for each of the kids.
Summer Hoop Camps will take place through August 16. Registration is still open and details are available here.
