Here’s the press release that was issued Sunday by the Dallas Mavericks’ public relations department in regards to the 2020-’21 training camp.

In light of the ongoing pandemic, the Dallas Mavericks will not host a traditional Media Day at the start of training camp for the 2020-21 season. Instead, Dallas will host Mavericks Media Week, and availabilities will take place over the course of five days during the NBA’s individual workout period.

Media Week will be held Dec. 1-5, and will consist of virtual media availabilities via Zoom. The Mavericks basketball communications department plans to make head coach Rick Carlisle and at least 10 players available throughout the week. We will also attempt to accommodate additional requests.
Please be reminded that under the NBA’s health and safety protocols, no media will be permitted to attend availabilities in person.

Below, please find a tentative schedule for Mavericks Media Week. With no more than four players and four coaches present at BioSteel Practice Facility at any one time for individual workouts, players and times will be announced as soon as they are confirmed. Zoom links, much like they were for the NBA Restart in Orlando, will be sent out the morning of each media availability. We will do our best to give at least one day notice for all sessions.

Thank you for your coverage of the Mavericks, and above all, we appreciate your patience as we navigate the start to the 2020-21 NBA season. Please do not hesitate to contact a member of the Mavericks basketball communications staff if we can help in any way.
