About the Mavericks: The Mavs are 2-1 on this season-high six-game home stand. Following tonight, the Mavs conclude this home stand with a pair of games against the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday and Saturday before they pack their bags and play in Miami on Feb. 15. . .The home stand started last Wednesday with a 120-114 loss in overtime to the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Mavs rebounded from that loss with this past Friday’s 107-98 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. And on Sunday, the Mavs overcame foul problems to Luka Doncic and Jalen Brunson to defeat the Atlanta Hawks, 103-94. . .The Mavs have won 15 of their last 20 games. . .Kristaps Porzingis (right knee bone bruise), Maxi Kleber (left knee effusion) and Tim Hardaway Jr. (left foot surgery) will miss tonight’s game. Porzingis has sat out the past four games after feeling some discomfort when he played only 11 minutes in the Jan. 29 game against the Indiana Pacers. Kleber has missed the last two games, and Hardaway underwent surgery on Feb. 1 after he was injured in the Jan. 25 contest against the Golden State Warriors. . .Sterling Brown is questionable for tonight’s game with left foot soreness. Brown has missed the past 10 games and hasn’t played since the Jan. 17 contest against Oklahoma City. . .Doncic has Lukaseven triple-doubles in his last 15 games and 45 for his career. He also has three triple-doubles in the last four games and is averaging 31.2 ppg, 10.2 rpg and 11.2 apg in those contests. And in the one game when Doncic didn’t have a triple-double, he finished with 40 points, six rebounds and 10 assists in the loss against Oklahoma City. . .Reggie Bullock and Brunson tallied 22 points apiece against the Hawks. The Mavs are 9-1 when Bullock scores 15 or more points. . .Dwight Powell has scored in double-figures in 19 games, and the Mavs are 15-4 in those games.

About the Pistons: The Pistons have lost eight of their last nine games and will arrive in Dallas carrying the second-worst record in the NBA. The lone victory was Jan. 30 when they outscored Cleveland in the fourth quarter, 31-17, en route to beating the Cavaliers, 115-105. But since that win, Detroit has lost its last four games. Those losses were home games against New Orleans (111-101 on Feb. 1), Minnesota (128-117 last Thursday) and Boston (102-93 this past Friday), and a road game in Minnesota (118-105 on Sunday). . .This is the finale of a short two-game road trip for the Pistons before they return home to entertain the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday. . .The Pistons are 42-37 all-time against the Mavs, including 19-19 during games played in Dallas and 5-13 during games played at American Airlines Center. . .Detroit is just 4-23 on the road and 4-20 against Western Conference opponents. . .The Pistons’ plus/minus of minus 9.3 is the NBA’s worst. . .Detroit has endured four different four-game losing streaks this season, and also lost 14 consecutive games from Nov. 19-Dec. 18. . .Led by the 19.3 ppg from Jerami Grant, the Pistons have spread the wealth as seven of their players are averaging 10 or more points. . .Arlington’s own Cade Cunningham is the Pistons’ most valuable player. Born in Arlington, Cunningham averaged 18.8 ppg, 8.2 rpg and 5.3 apg as a sophomore at Arlington Bowie High School before transferring to Montverde Academy in Montverde, Fla. for his junior and senior seasons. Cunningham was the No. 1 overall pick in last summer’s NBA Draft and is averaging 15.8 ppg, 5.5 rpg and 5.2 apg. However, he has missed the last three games with a right hip pointer. . .The Pistons are also getting production from Saddie Bey (15.8 ppg, 5.8 rpg), Frank Jackson (11.2 ppg), Hamidou Diallo (10.8 ppg), Trey Lyles (10.4 ppg) and Kelly Olynyk (10.2 ppg).
