DALLAS — The Dallas Mavericks announced today that they have signed free agent guard P.J. Dozier. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Dozier (6-6, 205) recently competed for the Los Angeles Lakers’ summer league team in Las Vegas this past July. In two games, he averaged 1.0 point, 1.5 rebounds and 5.0 minutes per game.

A native of Columbia, S.C., Dozier went undrafted in the 2017 NBA Draft after two seasons at the University of South Carolina. As a sophomore in 2016-17, he averaged 13.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, a team-high 2.8 assists, 1.7 steals and 28.7 minutes per game in 36 games.

During the 2017 NCAA Tournament, Dozier averaged 15.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game while helping the Gamecocks clinch their first-ever berth in the Final Four. He was named to the 2017 East Regional All-Tournament Team.
