DALLAS— The Dallas Mavericks announced today they have signed 45th overall pick Isaiah Roby. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Dallas acquired the draft rights to Roby on June 26, 2019, along with two future second round picks, from the Detroit Pistons in exchange for the draft rights to 37th overall pick Deividas Sirvydis.

Roby (6-8, 230) was an early-entry candidate to this year’s draft after spending three seasons at Nebraska. As a junior, he averaged 11.8 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 steals while starting all 35 games. He shot .476 from the field and .702 from the free throw line during his career as a Cornhusker. Roby was twice named to the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team (2017, 2019) and earned Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll honors in 2017.

The Dixon, Ill., native started all five games for the Mavericks at the MGM Resorts NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. Roby averaged 8.8 points, a team-high 5.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists and a team-high 1.2 blocks in 27.6 minutes per contest.
