DALLAS – Fans ready to cheer on the Dallas Mavericks at the American Airlines Center should take note that big changes are on the way starting next month.

The Mavericks, in conjunction with the NBA, announced today that beginning Nov. 15, fans seated beyond 15 feet of the court will no longer need to complete a Fan Health Survey to enter the game.

Those same fans will also no longer need to submit proof of a negative COVID-19 test or full vaccination status within 48 hours of the game.

Please note that all fans seated within 15 feet of the court must submit proof of a negative COVID-19 test or full vaccination status via MavsCheckIn.com.

Fans can visit Mavs.com/CheckList to determine if their seats are within 15 feet of the court.

The Mavericks released the updated guidelines after consulting with public health officials and analyzing current data and health trends.

The decline in the average number of COVID-19 cases prompted team executives to re-evaluate the current protocols in place.

Masks will still be required for fans ages 2 and older when not actively eating or drinking, regardless of vaccination status, in accordance with the current Dallas County mask mandate. When fans accept digital tickets, they are agreeing to comply with the mask order.

Mavs governor Mark Cuban said in an interview this week that as the average case count of Dallas County remains below 500, the Mavericks will loosen health and safety protocols for fans.

However, those changes will not be implemented until Nov. 15, 2021.

Current health and safety protocols to enter a Dallas Mavericks game remain in place for the next four home games slated for Oct. 31 to Nov. 8.

Fans should still use the MavsCheckIn.com for the following games:

Sunday, Oct. 31 vs. Sacramento
Tuesday, Nov. 2 vs. Miami
Saturday, Nov. 6 vs. Boston
Monday, Nov. 8 vs. New Orleans

Cuban also shared this week that the Mavericks are still working to create sections, whether in various locations around the arena or in suites, that would help decrease potential COVID-19 exposure to cancer patients or immunocompromised individuals who attend games.

For entry requirements starting Nov. 15, 2021, please read the following details:
