Dallas Mavericks is a proud participate in the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™, the largest CEO-driven business commitment to advance diversity and inclusion within the workplace. The CEO pledge outlines a specific set of actions the signatory CEOs will take to cultivate a trusting environment where all ideas are welcomed, and employees feel comfortable and empowered to have discussions about diversity and inclusion.

Our ERGs are employee-led networks based on shared characteristics and/or life experiences where employees are encouraged to take personal responsibility for their actions and to lead by example. These volunteer interest groups are united together by our strong set of values, business objectives and commitment to the community. All Employee Resource Groups are open to both employees who identity with that affinity and their allies.

Parents@Work is a network/support group who provides resources, support and open discussion on work life integration, family priorities and work commitments. Providing input, feedback and affect positive change with our Mavs family from a parent’s perspective for family-friendly policies.

Dallas Mavericks Pride Committee oversees our Pride initiatives year-round, including our annual Pride Night. Our employees actively participate in several Pride and LGBTQIA+ initiatives across the DFW metroplex and within the NBA.
Our Mavs Inclusion Ambassadors play a key role in building bridges to our communities and multiple cultures in the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex. They serve as the face of Dallas Mavericks and promote Mavs products and services. They represent the Dallas Mavericks organization at various in-season, off-season community and team related events and programs throughout the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex. They build relationships and good will with community members and influencers, including but not limited to those involved with teams, leagues, schools, community organizations, etc. and create Mavs Fans For Life (MFFLs).
The Dallas Mavericks Speakers Bureau was created in a continued effort to make an impact in the community. The bureau consists of Mavericks broadcast announcers and staff who speak to community groups and organizations within the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Topics include life on the road, coaching strategies, and motivational speeches.
The Mavs Influencers Program ¬- Introduced in the 2018-19 season, was created to connect with an established audience and reach of influencers within the DFW community to generate brand awareness, revenue and new fans. Targeted influencers: Lifestyle, Women, Small Business, Life Coaches, Finance, Sports, Fashion, Fitness, Food/Wine, Travel, Millennials, Parenting/Mommy Bloggers, Families, Music, Beauty, Photography, Hispanic, African-American, LQBTQ Community.
The Dallas Mavericks Advisory Council (D-MAC) is represented by proven influencers throughout various industries in the Metroplex. They bring diverse outside-in perspective and advise the organization on strategies and programs which will help the Mavericks meet challenges and attain goals. The council will focus on the following areas: (1) Employment, Workforce Recruitment and Retention; (2) Philanthropy and Community Investment; (3) Trends and Externalities; (4) Public Affairs and Stakeholder Engagement.
The Dallas Mavericks pledge to listen, learn and unite our DFW communities to address racial inequities and disparities, promote social justice, and drive sustainable change. We pledge a minimum $5M investment and 10,000 employee volunteer hours over the next 3 years in Mavs Take ACTION!
