Mavs Reading Challenge

In partnership with Dallas Public Library

December 1, 2017 – March 18th, 2018

SIGN UP NOW!

The Mavs Reading Challenge is a 15-week program designed to improve reading literacy throughout Dallas and encourage the love of reading for kids of all ages.

Dallas parents, students and teachers can sign up online or at any of the 29 Dallas Public Library locations. Track your reading throughout the winter and spring, for the chance to win special prizes from the Dallas Mavericks and presenting sponsor Whataburger.

How It Works:

To earn prizes, the Mavs are challenging students to read (or be read to) at least 20 minutes a day. Track each day you spend 20 minutes reading and win prizes! All participants who log 40 days by the end of the program will be entered into a Grand Prize drawing for your chance to win a Mavs Fan Experience, including: Four (4) Lower Level Tickets, Four (4) High Five Line Passes and a 3rd Quarter Locker Room Tour for a 2018-2019 Mavs Home Game.

Prizes:

  • Read 10 days: Drawstring bag (first 4,000 participants)
  • Read 20 days: Hats (first 2,500 participants)
  • Read 30 days: Notebook (first 2,500 participants)
  • Read 40 days: Whataburger Certificate/Free Meal (first 5,000 participants) and be entered into Grand Prize drawing
  • Grand Prize (1): Mavs Fan Experience for four (4) High Five Line passes and a 3rd Quarter Locker Room Tour for a 2018-2019 home game.

Not in Dallas?
Fort Worth, Kaufman or Athens residents can participate too! Visit Mavs.com/Read for more information.
