Venture – Entrepreneurial Expedition

Thanks to the support from the Dallas Mavericks and the Seth Curry Foundation, the Venture—Entrepreneurial Expedition course is presented in local middle schools and high schools throughout North Texas. Venture – Entrepreneurial Expedition is designed to teach students to think entrepreneurially about business and life. The course uses case studies, interactive business simulations and personal development activities to teach important basic business skills. Students develop a personalized plan for their individual business, along with a roadmap for academic and career success. The digital learning initiative, powered by global technology leader EVERFI, is being implemented directly in schools throughout North Texas with nearly 2,000 middle school students participating.

To kickoff the program, Dallas Maverick Seth Curry checked in with North Dallas High School, one of the North Texas schools participating in the Venture Entrepreneurial Expedition during the 2019-2020 school year.

Students at North Dallas High School, showed off their new skills they have learned this fall. Members from the Dallas Mavericks, Seth Curry, and EverFi were on hand to discuss the impact of the program on the students and the importance of the skills they are learning in this program to succeed in school as well as prepare for college and career readiness.
