In its first year, the run in October 2014 had over 2,100 runners and raised $40,000 for the Mavs Foundation.
Proceeds from the Run purchased 12,000 meals for kids at a local homeless shelter; paid for vision screenings, eye exams and new eyeglasses for underprivileged kids; and funded therapy services for children ages 3-5 who were showing delays/disabilities in communication, social and motor skills.
