Basketball Court

Every season, the Mavs Foundation selects a local nonprofit in need of a new basketball court used for recreational and community purposes. This is an in-kind project, which refurbishes or replaces an existing court or gym in need of repair in order to encourage healthy living and provide a safe place for children and residents in the community.

Over the last 20 years, the Mavs Foundation has built 19 basketball courts throughout the North Texas community.

Announcing New Court: Youth World
The Mavs Foundation is proud to announce the unveiling of a new basketball court at Youth World Dallas Learning Center, a nonprofit in South Dallas that impacts more than 3,000 children in need each year, inspiring hope for their future through after-school and summer programs.
Construction began July 10, 2015 when friends of the Mavs Foundation including Sprite, Wingstop, Pro Players Foundation and Glidden Paint helped to paint the walls Mavs blue.

The court was officially unveiled with a Court Dedication and Fan Fest on August 4, 2015. Mavs fans and friends came out to celebrate the new court with Mavs ManiAACs, Dancers and Mascots and enjoyed FREE wings and drinks from the Wingstop on Wheels food truck and the Coke Happiness Truck. Mavs player Devin Harris was in attendance to speak to the children and show-off the new court.
