The Dallas Mavericks and Chime partnered with the Mavs Foundation to donate $500 to a local charity every time the Mavs sunk a free throw on their Super 8 Roadtrip!

Charities We Supported

7/31 | Mavs vs. Rockets

Funds will support Money Matters and CareerLaunch activities, providing behavior-changing financial education such as budgeting, saving, planning for college and career-preparation.

8/2 | Mavs vs. Suns

Chime in For A Cause will support the Girls Inc. Bold Girls, Bold Futures program providing school age girls from low-income communities with an essential financial literacy education helping them grow into successful young women.

8/4 | Mavs vs. Kings

Funding for Lemonade Day will focus on breaking the cycle of poverty with a FREE program for kids to learn entrepreneurship, financial literacy and business skills –– all through a lemonade stand.

8/6 | Mavs vs. Clippers

Chime In for a Cause will support their online curriculum with interactive lessons for low income and soon to be first generation high school students surrounding: financial literacy and how to pay for college, how to choose a career, and how to build character for life beyond graduation day.

8/8 | Mavs vs. Bucks

Dallas TRHT develops comprehensive plans to bring about transformational and sustainable change, and to address the historic and contemporary effects of racism. Funding from Chime In for a Cause will help further their mission to address narrative change, create racial healing and transform equitable policies and practices.

8/10 | Mavs vs. Jazz

Chime In for a Cause will support age-appropriate financial literacy education at Promise House’s Emergency Youth Shelter to help prepare youth for future success.

8/11 | Mavs vs. Trailblazers

Project Unity leads efforts to unify Dallas by implementing community building programs to help heal race relationships between law enforcement and Dallas citizens. Donations received will support these efforts and host virtual events in the community.

8/13 | Mavs vs. Suns

WiNGS empowers women, fights poverty and impacts generations through the empowerment of those they serve.  Funds raised will support the financial education to help women understand and properly apply financial management skills.

About The Mavs Foundation

Over the past 24 years, the Mavs Foundation has provided grant funding totaling more than $5 million dollars to nonprofit organizations serving women, children and families in need. In addition to grants, the Mavs Foundation has built 45 safe Learn & Play spaces throughout the North Texas community, including 26 basketball courts and 19 Reading & Learning Centers. Recent contributions by the Dallas Mavericks and the Mavs Foundation include over $1.96 million donated to COVID-19 relief and a commitment of $5 million to address social injustice and racial inequity.
