DALLAS – The Dallas Mavericks announced their 2013-14 season schedule today, tipping off their 34th season and 13th season at the American Airlines Center on Wednesday, Oct. 30 against the Atlanta Hawks at 7:30 pm.
The Mavericks national TV and radio schedule includes three games on TNT, five on ESPN, six on NBATV and one on ESPN Radio.
TNT features Dallas three times this season. The games are against Oklahoma City (Mar. 25), at the Los Angeles Clippers (Apr. 3) and against San Antonio (Apr. 10).
The Mavericks’ five ESPN telecasts include at Oklahoma City (Nov. 6), vs. Houston (Nov. 20), at Golden State (Dec. 11), at San Antonio (Jan. 8) and vs. New Orleans (Feb. 26).
Dallas also has six televised games on NBATV. They are at Denver (Nov. 23), at Portland (Dec. 7), vs. Milwaukee (Dec. 14), vs. New York (Jan. 5), at Boston (Feb. 9) and at New York (Feb. 24).
Additionally, ESPN Radio broadcasts one Mavericks’ game this season which is against Oklahoma City on Mar. 25.
The remaining portion of the Mavericks’ local television schedule for games on Fox Sports Southwest will be released at a later date. All games can be heard on ESPN 103.3 FM and on KFLC (1270 AM) in Spanish.
November could be the Mavericks’ most challenging month as they play a season-high tying 17 games, including six back-to-backs. In addition, that month is the first time Dallas faces the two-time defending NBA Champions as they travel to Miami on Nov. 15. The November home schedule is highlighted by visits from the Los Angeles Lakers (Nov. 5), the Houston Rockets (Nov. 20) and the Golden State Warriors (Nov. 27).
After playing five of their first seven games of March on the road, Dallas concludes the month with seven straight games within the friendly confines of American Airlines Center. In total, the home stand is the team’s longest of the season spanning eight games from Mar. 17-April 1. The home stand features games against Boston (Mar. 17), Brooklyn (Mar. 23) and Oklahoma City (Mar. 25).
The Mavericks have 16 back-to-backs this season, 12 of which come prior to the All-Star Break. In total, six back-to-backs are on the road, five begin at home and conclude on the road and five are road-to-home.
