MEDIA DAY: SEPT. 30
One of the most anticipated days for Dallas Mavericks players, coaches, fans and media is when the team convenes for its annual Media Day beginning at 11:30 a.m. at American Airlines Center.

The 2019-20 Mavericks’ squad will spend the day taking updated pictures in their uniforms and hitting the media circuit to interview with dozens of reporters. They’ll also film new video intros and storylines to air on the jumbotron throughout the season.

TRAINING CAMP, OPEN PRACTICE: OCT. 1 – OCT. 6
The team will start formal training camp Oct. 1 at 10 a.m. at the Lympo Practice Facility.

Training camp concludes on Sunday, Oct. 6, with an open practice that is open to the public and free. East doors at the American Airlines Center open at 11:30 a.m. and fans can enjoy a special combo deal with a hotdog, chips and soda for $5. Players will take the court at 12:45 p.m. for warmups, followed by introductions and a scrimmage. The event is slated to conclude at 2:30 p.m.

Dallas starts camp with 20 players representing nine different countries/territories: Australia, Canada, Germany, Japan, Latvia, Puerto Rico, Serbia, Slovenia and the United States.

The average age of the team entering training camp is 26 years old, with JJ Barea the oldest player at 35, and Luka Doncic, 20, the youngest.

There are five rookies (Yudai Baba, Aric Holman, Dakota Mathias, Josh Reaves, Isaiah Roby). Barea is the longest-tenured, starting his 13th NBA season this year, followed by Courtney Lee with 11 seasons under his belt.

2019 TIPOFF LUNCHEON, BENEFITING THE MAVS FOUNDATION
Mavs fans can join the team for the annual Tipoff Luncheon benefiting the Mavs Foundation on Oct. 21 at 12:30 p.m. at The Statler.

Followill and Cooperstein will host the event on stage with a moderated Q&A with the players. Attendees will also enjoy fun surprises, a special Mavs gift and become the first to meet the 2019-20 Dallas Mavericks. To learn more and purchase tickets, click here.

Dallas opens its regular season on Oct. 23rd at AAC against the Washington Wizards.

DALLAS MAVERICKS PRESEASON SCHEDULE
The Dallas Mavericks 2019 preseason schedule tips off on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. in Tulsa against the Oklahoma City Thunder.  The game will be televised on ESPN.

The 2019 preseason schedule will see Dallas play two home games at American Airlines Center and three on the road, including two games in non-NBA cities.

Following the game in Tulsa, Dallas will travel to Detroit on Oct. 9 and play the second half of a back to back.  The team then plays two games in a row at American Airlines Center vs. Milwaukee (Oct. 11) and vs. Oklahoma City (Oct. 14).

The Mavericks conclude the preseason in Vancouver as a part of the seventh NBA Canada Series presented by Bell playing the Los Angeles Clippers.  It is the first appearance for the Mavericks in the NBA Canada Series and the first time they have played in Vancouver since Feb. 27, 2001.

FOX Sports Southwest will air the game at Detroit on Oct. 9, both home games (against Milwaukee on Oct. 11 and Oklahoma City on Oct. 14) and the L.A. Clippers game in Vancouver (Oct.17).  All of the preseason games can be heard on ESPN 103.3 FM and Univision Deportes 1270 AM.

Following preseason play, Dallas tips off the 2019-20 regular season on Wednesday, Oct. 23 as the Mavericks host the Washington Wizards at American Airlines Center at 7:30 p.m.
