Mark Followill – Mavs Television Play-by-Play

Mark FollowillMark Followill enters his eighth season as the television play-by-play voice and his 12th overall with the team. Prior to his move to television, Followill served as the radio play-by-play voice of the Mavericks on ESPN 103.3 FM for four seasons.Followill also just completed his first season as television voice for the Metroplex’s Major League Soccer franchise FC Dallas. In addition, Followill has been a play-by-play announcer for national and regional college football telecasts on Fox Sports Net, NFL and NCAA football games on Sports USA Radio Network, college basketball and volleyball telecasts for The Longhorn Network and NBA and WNBA broadcasts for ESPNRadio.

Followill came to the Mavericks after having worked for seven years at KTCK in Dallas, where he co-hosted talk shows, served as a drivetime sports anchor and was the studio host and fill-in radio play-by-play announcer of Mavericks broadcasts for two seasons on sister station KLIF. Followill also served as the play-by-play voice for SMU football in 1999 and 2000 on KTCK. Prior to working at KTCK, Followill worked at the Texas State News Network and KTOK-AM in Oklahoma City.

Followill attended the University of North Texas from 1989 to 1992 where he worked at the campus radio station, KNTU.
