Trees for Threes

The Dallas Mavericks, PwC US, a Big Four accounting and consulting firm, and Arborilogical Services, Inc., tree care experts, are teaming up for the fifth consecutive year for the “Trees for Threes” project. This group is committed to planting one tree for every three pointer the Mavs make at home this season. The trees, up to 10 feet tall, will be planted by Mavs personnel, PwC employees, citizen foresters and volunteers from Arborilogical Services, Inc.

The Mavericks understand the importance of proper tree maintenance to ensure their survival and has renewed its partnership with Arborilogical Services, Inc. These tree care experts will care for and maintain the trees for up to three years. The Trees for Threes planting project is part of the Mavericks eco-friendly initiative, Guard the Planet. To date, over 1,400 trees have been planted in Dallas area parks and across campuses of the Dallas Independent School District. Giving back and improving our local schools creates a healthier and more positive learning environment for future generations, while helping to sustain the environment. The Mavericks hope to plant the 1,750th tree this season.

Follow the Mavs throughout the season and keep track of how many three pointers are made at home games, and know that each “three” makes a difference!
